• 2nd Grade: 400 words (250 from 1st grade + 150 new)
• 3rd Grade: 600 words (400 from 2nd grade + 200 new)
• 4th Grade: 800 words (600 from 3rd grade + 200 new)
• 5th Grade: 1000 words (800 from 4th grade + 200 new)

Each list builds upon the previous one, so students aren’t simply memorizing words—they’re building a lasting foundation of familiarity with common English vocabulary.
